Narcissus is about the pressure to be perfect under the constant gaze of self-surveillance. It shows a woman returning to the mirror again and again, not to admire, but to adjust. To check, to fix, to make sure nothing’s out of place.

At some point, the mirror stops being a place of reflection and becomes a stage. She’s no longer seeing herself, just the flaws she’s been told to erase. What began as care turns into control, until she starts to feel more like a project than a person.

Printed as a museum-grade giclée and framed in a black walnut aluminum frame, this illustration is a quiet confrontation with the unrealistic standards we set for ourselves and the way they quietly shape how we see, judge, and treat our own reflection.
